NSS commonly refers to the National Service Scheme, a prominent Indian government program aimed at student youth development through community service. It's a central sector scheme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. Alternatively, it can also stand for the National Sample Survey, a statistical survey conducted by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
